About

Professor Samuel W. Calhoun served on the faculty of the Washington and Lee University School of Law from 1978 to 2020. He became Professor of Law, Emeritus in 2020. His teaching focused on contracts, legal writing, commercial transactions, and the abortion controversy. He received the Law Alumni Association Fellowship in Teaching Excellence in 2003-04 and the John W. Elrod Law Alumni Association Fellowship in Teaching Excellence in 2007-08.

Professor Calhoun's articles have appeared in a variety of law and historical journals. He is admitted to practice in Georgia.
